Hi all,
Another Nardo picked up this week! , swopped my old C7 facelift for this one. Been raining ever since !

It came with a remote control that the previous old left with the cars. Dealer thought it might be related to the dash camera that came with the car (BlackVue 750s 2CH)
But anyone know what its for ? Garage opener from last owner ?
Cheers

Blackvue cameras don’t have remote controls.

Thanks rtd, yes i downloaded the pdf for the BlackVue and couldn’t see it in the part list. Just wondering if anyone knows what it might be for ?

Could it be for a secondary alarm system or something or possibly it is just a garage door opener? I’d just put it away in car and forget about it.

I’m guessing a remote for gate or garage door.

That looks very similar to the tags that come with the S5 alarms from the likes of Vodafone. I.e if you start the car without the tag in it and move off it sends an alert to the tracking centre. Basically to alert on theft even if the keys get taken.

My one has a small screen on it but the shape is very close this might be from an earlier model.

Looks very similar to the Trackstar
Module I had in my old C6 that marries up to the unit hidden in the car. You carry that module round and if the car is moving without it being present then it sends an alert to their control centre.
You’ll need to pay a subscription to activate it again but gives you extra piece of mind.

Thanks everyone, when you press the button the red led blinks fast, otherwise slow occasional flash of red

That's the same behaviour as my Vodafone S5 (used to be called cobratrak). You could always phone vadafone and see if the car is registered as having a system installed. You should have two of the tags though. The red light flashing every 5 secs or so is just so you know it's active.

Fast blink is flat battery. Should be steady.

I had exactly the same fob in my 2015 6; turns out it was to do with the tracker. I found mine lurking in the arm rest....

Theres a thread on here about it somewhere around 2016.
