P0597 thermostat fault "Thermostat for Mapped Engine Cooling" - solved

Hello, has anyone encountered a fault code for their thermostat before? The temperature on the car seems fine - fluctuates 92-101º, but the engine bay is the hottest on any car I've encountered.

Just following up - thermostat is being replaced by the warranty company next weekend. If that fixes the code, I'll confirm for future searchers.

Just confirming as promised - I had this fault code, ultimately resolved with replacement of the thermostat. Part number 079121115BL. Took my mechanic 4 hours of labour, and the engine light went off and did not return.
