Timing Belt or Chain....

Hi can anybody please advise, has a 2016 performance C7 got a belt or chain?

I’ve just spoken to Redline where I got my car 🚙 from recently, they’ve said it’s a chain not a belt?

I thought it was a belt.

If it is a chain, what is the swap out time for that, if any?

Cheers,

E. Hitler.

Hitler is your real surname? Or it’s just a nickname in a forum?

Hi Eddie,

Engine is chain driven. To the best of my knowledge these are there for the life of the engine, not routine service items...

Cheers,
Lig.

Yes, definitely a chain and I'm not aware of any requirement to change it either.
