Auto Hill Hold Assist

Evening all, hump day over and done with.
Noticed a couple of times my AHHA doesn't activate and the green light doesn't come on and won't activate when I press it. Other times it's on straight away.

Am I missing something or is this normal?

Cheers

hmmmmm, I think there is something wrong. I have never had a problem with mine and the button lights up every time I press it and the green light on dash when I stop.

In order for it to activate 'The drivers door must be closed, the drivers seat belt buckled and the engine running'

Worth noting and mentioning to the dealer.

Cheers,
Lig.

I never use auto park brake button and I find at a junction on a hill as an example, (happened on my previous 6 too), if I take my foot off the throttle and foot brake the car remains stationary - no hill hold assist activated - I then touch the throttle and off we go....

Exactly, my car does the same

That is true, but if you are at lights and not such a hill, then the car will creep forwards (or mine does), so I use it so I don't have to keep my foot on the brake....

Lig.

You also need to press the brake hard to activate it, a gentle stop may not bring it on.

All of the above is true. But I had it switched off as I like to creep forward by releasing the brake which didn't always happen with Hill hold on which required a press of the throttle to get it moving. Never had an issue with rolling back on a hill though.

It was OK all the way home from Merc yesterday but no need to press hard. As soon as I stopped hill hold kicked in. I'll keep an eye on it.
