Hi all,
Which is the better aftermarket exhaust? my car docent have a sports exhaust currently. so I was thinking of getting a non resonating cat back Milltek.
Is this my Best Buy?
if it doesn't have a factory sports exhaust, does this mean the valves on my new millek will always be open?
Many thanks

Yep Miltek none resonated exhaust has flaps, in comfort mode it’s very good for traveling long distances, I have stock Downpipes by the way

Don’t bother with the milltek

Get one of the APR Variants, better quality and a deeper more throaty sound.

Flaps work on the Millie just like the std OEM Sports exhaust. My neighbour hates me on cold starts!! (she is 83 though poor thing)

I have the Milltek ‘RoadPlus’ exhaust on mine. It’s a half way house between non-res and resonated. It’s still absolutely brutal (especially in sport mode) but does knock back the drone a fair bit over non-res.
I also have the valve control module (milltek or Cete brand the same thing).
It alters the valve behaviour. Basically valves open all the time in Dynamic and closed all the way up to 5krpm in comfort - including cold start, so that really helps when you need a subtle start on those early mornings! I think it’s a great combo.

I have the cat back resonated on mine. I will say that in comfort the exhaust is as quiet as the OEM but louder in dynamic. The pops and crackles are still baffled.
So I've ordered the road+ centre section to see if it's still as quiet in comfort but even louder in dynamic.
Really want the pops and crackles to be heard but like most... I want that quiet drive on long motorway trips.
But let's see and hope I don't end up ordering the non resonated centre section or the downpipes.

Road + is plenty loud enough for me! The sound insulation is so good though it’s easy to forget how loud the thing is!

I'm still wanting that quiet drive especially with a toddler and missus in the car, last thing I want is an unhappy child and wife
Car is up tomorrow for the new centre section to be fitted.
@bn8959 How much louder is road+ in dynamic?

Mate how not wrong there

I had considered them but obviously decided not to in the end.
So the road+ centre section is in. Still as quiet as OEM in comfort and louder in dynamic. I think the non-res would be too much for sure.
