Must’ve been a cock up as the page has now gone. Still, if you managed to get a look, looks good. Though the bastard quilted seats persist.

And now in video. Sure it will grow on me but this isn't yet. And those wheels! And that awful wavy tailpiece over the exhausts.

Will look better in carbon I'm sure.

I’m in love with the c7 looks (prob coz I got a C6

) and initially, the c8 doesn’t do it for me but I reckon it’ll be different when I see it in the flesh.

They nailed it with the C7, new C8 looks odd in certain angles but maybe different in the flesh. Still love the rear on a C6.

I was hoping to see a continuous light across the rear a la Carrera 4S, new Macan and Q8
Not as dramatic and doesn't make me want to rush out and put my PE up for sale
I think 6months after release there will be a faster one... 670bhp...a la Panerama

I’m not so sure now. Two things that I note. Firstly they won’t tread on the Panamera’s toes and secondly the Audi retains its sloshomatic - another differentiator - which is a key part of the Panamera’s drivetrain. I cannot see a straight transplant. Added to this I’m not sure who the customer would be as it’d be serious cash.

I guess Porsche won't let Audi take the RS6 as the Halo model over the Panamera.
Good point on the pricing - IF there was a faster version, I'd wait for 12months until the first owner had blown his balls on the depreciation....
I did think / hope that the new C8 would be a little more dramatic looking and quicker so I'd want to shift my PE, but only motor floating my boat now is the new G63 but thats £150k+

This could be similar to the C6 in timing. Recession looming and the premium car market depressed. No way I’d want to be stepping into one at list. We’ll know where we are in BREXIT land by the time the book opens. That could whack on another 10%.
On the face of it the drivetrain hasn’t moved on enough, I’d need to sample one to see where it is vs C7.

Only thing i find strange is Audi don't appear to have done anything more with the C8 RS6 than fit the C8 body & tech. Drivetrain & Engine remain the same, as do (it appears) most of the mechanicals.
Does look nice, but at least BMW applied a totally different drivetrain to their new M5, with AWD & the RWD only mode being available (same as Merc). Saying that, BMW did little by way of engine upgrades on the new M5.
Now looks like the market difference will surely come down to Estate or Saloon as from a drivability perspective, the M5 'could' have a slight advantage now.
