Air Con issues

Hey,

I have an issue with my air con not turning on - it works sometimes but most of the time it won't let me turn the AC on. The red LED lights up when I press the AC button but won't stay on.

Booked into Audi but they can't see it till Friday, was wondering if anyone had any ideas that I may be able to fix myself.

Sounds like A/C gas pressure is below threshold and the pressure switch is cutting out the A/C. Therefore you will require an A/C recharge. First of all you’ll need to scan the car with a code reader/diagnostic machine, this will usually show a fault code relating to A/C system. Another thing to check is the condenser, which is visible through the centre front grille. Condenser is the one that takes the impact from stones off the road and causes minute A/C gases to escape.
