Just had carplay activated.
No hardware required, firmware upgrade only
Great mod!
Works with all facelifts A6/S6/RS6/A7/Q7 2015+

What was the manufacture date on your car? Apparently only 2017 and later can be upgraded. Mine is a few months too early. I’m still trying to find someone that can do it.

Mine is a 2015.
Can be activated on yours, just not through Audi
Whats the firmware version on yours?

P means Production, K is dealer updated.
Either way the version will be updated to MHI2_ER_AU57x_P3634 and the smartphone activated on that.

Sounds promising. I’d been talking to HazzyDayz about it but they haven’t yet been able to confirm they could get the firmware update. How/where did you get it done? TIA.

Process is done remotely.
Cost around $155
Its easy, you need:
1. D-link E100 USB2.0 to Ethernet
2. SD card - 8 to 32GB
3. Ethernet cable
4. Windows Laptop, with Teamviewer installed.
Contact a chap called Carplay_Audi on Telegram.
English not his first language, but hes still very good.

He'll guide you through step by step, total time around 20mins.
US guys have been doing it since Feb. He only managed to do the European firmware this week.

Yes Smartphone activation is for both Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
Although Ive only tested it for Carplay so far.
