So I was driving to work yesterday and "Air Suspension Fault" suddenly appeared on the dash. Fortunately, I was passing Aylesbury Audi and popped in for them to read codes.

Car sitting at the correct height, no apparent air leaks from any corner. It turns out my air compressor has failed, or rather working intermittently. They are replacing it + an associated relay. Both parts have apparently been superseded, so possibly a common problem or at least one waiting to happen.

I must say, Aylesbury Audi have been fantastic so far. On both occasions, they arranged a loaner car for me at short notice and kept me in the loop at all times. They're even doing my diff oils service FOC for the inconvenience, something I asked them to do whilst the car was still with them and was fully happy to pay for it.

Had the same happen to mine about a year ago, glad it was covered under the warranty

Just out of interest do you know how much they would have charged if it wasn’t under warranty for the replacement compressor?

A word of caution (having had this happen to me with 2 BMWs), a compressor that has failed early can be as sign of a system leak (failure being due to the compressor having to work harder than usual to maintain stance). It was only on the second compressor that this was picked up on my first car - fortunately under warranty.

WOW!

Depending on the fault they can be repaired. I have done 2 and still work fine
