Any final comments prior to non-res Miltek?

Evening all,
Well I’ve had my RS6 for around 3 months and having had a ‘loan’ of a previously modded example with 720bhp and an aftermarket exhaust (assuming Miltek) I’m about to make the jump to a non-resonated Miltek cat back.
The question is, should I be aware of or consider anything before I do?
The last RS6 had a report of a leaking exhaust when it was in at Audi.Is this a common issue or something to be concerned with? I always assumed Miltek was a solid make/brand?
I’ve still got the Audi warranty and just plan on swapping back to the Audi exhaust whenever I have a service or warranty claim coming up (until I extend at which point I’ll likely just declare it).
Cheers to any input.

I am in the exactly same boat as you are but only owned by RS6 for 2 weeks.
I have asked two different Audi garages and they both said you should be okay for warranty claims as its just a catback (the full system may be different).
Have you seen any videos of the C7 RS6 using just the Miltek non-res catback and not the full system?

Leaking exhaust if probably down to clamps not being tight enough and or no exhaust paste used. Either way it's not a big deal.
Most people on here would consider the milltek to be of poor build quality especially when compare to the £7k Akrapovic (not really a fair comparison).
Some people have a knocking noise with the milltek. Mine does but when I can be bothered to grt under the car and tweak the position slitghly I'm sure that will cure it.
But given all the above I'd still highly recommend it.
Before fitting mine I had my front and centre resonators deleted and gave me a near perfect sound for just a few hundred quid. It stayed like that for nearly 3 years before I got bored and found a cheap milltek.
Some people find it too loud too but it sounds like you have heard it already and like it so you know what to expect there.

That’s my hope too, just fearing meeting my match in the ultimate jobsworth Master Tech

. Yeah seen some videos and they seems pretty amazing. I don’t know for sure what my original car was - I’d assume downpipes too if it was mapped so hopefully the cat back doesn’t disappoint!

Thanks Mike. I’ve never understood how an exhaust made of what they claim to be aviation grade steel can be that bad though - I’m sure it will do the job or certainly not cause me any real grief anyway! The car definitely needs the theatrics and I certainly miss the burble, pops and bangs on demand.

If the car only had 720ps I'd assume it was a cat back only.

Poorly built. I had it on then switched to Capristo. Night and Day.

What was wrong with it that made you change exhaust? I understand it rusts but no one can see it under the car.

Would be good to know the details of your experience with Miltek and also what kind of duration we’re talking before you started to see issues?
Thanks

Miltek none resonated exhaust only no other even looked for when considering buying, have it for 2 years no problems so far, sounds amazing and brutal. Sometimes exhaust valve flaps stucks or maybe a little rust spraying wd40 helps)

Thanks Tadass. It was fitted today; picked her up and it’s basically indescribable. The most glorious and brutal thing I’ve ever heard. Spoiled without it!

I had a Milltek on my RS4 for 9 years with no issues at all!
