P0597 help

Hi all it’s been a while since I posted on here. Rs6 c7 2013 mapped by litchfeild stage 1. Not had any trouble in 2 years but now and again the engine light comes on and fault code is p0597. This only happened when the car is cold. Anyone have any ideas? Clear the code and it might stay off for a month or a day. Thanks in advance

You may have already looked but a quick online code search looks to be engine thermostat fault .
"This is a generic powertrain diagnostic trouble code (DTC), which means it covers all makes/models, 1996-newer. However, specific troubleshooting steps will vary depending on the vehicle. The codes P0597, P0598 and P0599 all refer to an electronically controlled engine thermostat."
