New FL RS6 Owner - Few Questions

A few days ago I became the owner of the following RS6.
Bought from Audi, Poole - Excellent service and very happy with the purchase. Currently own several old Mercs (R129', W124, W210's etc) but as im 26, I though i would get something a bit modern and save the old mercs for the weekend!
When I first bought the car, I was going to go down the route of a MRC/Litchfield Stage 2 tune but after reading a few horror stories, it has put me off doing this. However, I still want to go with the Miltek Non Res system. Could anyone confirm that you do not need to perform any remap to work with this system? i.e. Simply install the exhaust and drive away. I have read some people requiring a remap to counter the gases etc.
On top of this, has anyone had to do a warranty claim whilst having a miltek (or any other aftermarket exhaust)? I have Audi Warranty and I wish to keep it going for a few years too. I have read this older thread (
viewtopic.php?f=76&t=127574&start=30) but it would be interesting to see if anyone has done a claim with the exhaust.
Thanks in advance!

Cat back milltek no map needed
Only need a map of your fitting downpipes
Welcome!

Nice car for a 26 year old!
Yep, as Chris said as long as its just cat back no remap required.
Warranty is a gamble but most people think a cat back is OK for claims.

Thanks for the reply both - Yeah that makes sense!
The car is fast enough as it is for me and a remap will 100% void the warranty, so I really don't see the point until I decide not to bother with the warranty.
Do you know of any companies near South Wales that will be able to install the Miltek? Rather have someone well known to install it!

Started to rack up the mileage now - Since purchasing it three weeks ago, ive done almost 1,000 miles. Nice shot up Black Mountains:
Cylinder on Demand - Are you meant to notice the shift when it turns on and off? Whilst cruising on the motorway around 70-ish, when it flicks in between the modes, there is a distinctive shift - Again I assume this is normal?
---
Car is now on 19.7K miles and is the perfect car for me. Awaiting on some Miltek Deals for the non-res catback now!

First time I have been able to give it a polish and a wax - The panther black looks great in the sun!

Very nice!
Some spacers would improve the stance in my opinion though.

Big fan of these in black when they're actually clean. Problem is precisely that, keeping it clean !
You mentioned horror stories when tuning the car? Can you elaborate?

Out of interest the COD, when it kicks in is it usually light throttle, 60-70 mph and does it feel a little like a single misfire or lump through the car?

Can be at any speed in any gear and even in dynamic. Just need light throttle. But yes that's what it feels like.
try putting your DIS onto the MPG screen when you drive it next as that tells you when it is in 4 cylinder mode.
