Well I’ve had the car for just over 3 months now and for me it ticks all the boxes. Had the saloon C5 RS6 for 7 years, then the RS5 for a year, then a total break and had the A1 2.0tdi for 3 years, so getting the C7 in August was total change again but well needed. My 16year old daughter just smiles when she is in the front with the noise this thing makes.
I always said I would never have an estate, how wrong I was, this for us this is everything rolled into one. Can drive to wickes and get the supplies, weekends away it’s perfect for the family and dog, and of course when you want some fun with other cars it’s ready out the box.
If I could change just one thing on this car and I know it’s a small detail but it would be the fuel gauge, just seems sometimes when one of the lights go out on the gauge it’s a big jump.

The fuel gauge is pointless. I have no idea if I have just under a quarter tank or the red light is about to come on as both look the same. I have to look at the range gauge to gauge how much petrol I actually have and if I have to use a different gauge then surely it makes it completely pointless. I feel they went digital for the sake of moving forward even though it is inferior. In what world is that digital (and low resolution) gauge a worthy replacement of an analogue gauge? Grrrrrrr.

The analogue fuel gauge on the C5 isn't much better Mike; once you hit the half full mark the needle plunges like there's a hole in the tank...

If I could change one thing it would be absolutely steering feel/accuracy. I find this big beast quite a challenge to position exactly where I want it on a spirited/twisty drive... apart from that totally agree it is an outstanding all-rounder
