Removing front RS6 badge (grille)

I can seem to get the RS6 grille badge off. I have a spare pre facelift one which has little metal grips at the back but my face lift one seems to have plastic release catches but I can't get them free.
Any advice without having to remove the bumper?

When I wanted mine removed to paint black (didn't bother in end) - Audi told me that the whole grille had to come off and it was no longer a couple of clips holding the badge on.

I know they used to just clip in but they don't any more. And I know Audi's response will be bumper off. But I know people have done it without removing the bumper. Same story for the Audi rings; according to Audi it's a bumper off job but we all know it can be done without removing bumper.

Mike I'm in the Audi body Shop this week ( Thursday) getting all the badges off - I'll ask for you if you still need to know by then .

Did anyone get the front grille badge removed, I've got a argon creative carbon one to fit to mine but don't want to start trying to pull bits off that won't come??

Cheers

Held in in with 2 rectangular metal tabs that you need to use an angled pick to pry off as the metal tab has little angled teeth which grip the plastic. Its like a 'U' shaped clip.

The pre facelift has 2 metal clips. The post facelift one has plastic tabs. I just can't release them.

I need to buy the RS6 badge and the Audi rings for the facelift bumper . Anyone knows the part numbers ?
I tried to use the old rings on the new bumper and it doesn’t fit . Even the old Rs6 badge doesn’t seem to stick to the new facelift bumper .

You want just the rings or the ring mount as well? If you want the mount then there are various options such as with or without front camera, with or without night vision camera etc.

I saw your car, amazing machine mate.

I would need the rings and the mount 😁.

Do you happen to have the part numbers ? And anyone you order from .

Thanks a mill 😂

Yes there is a website you can get part numbers from. Can't remember the name off the top of my head, I'll have to look it up later. You could try ebay or an Audi dealer. Not sure how much they charge for them.

If its the ones with the plastic tabs on the outer edges then it could have glue on them from the factory. Ive seen a few that have this.
