Its a very slight pop/gurgle noise.

Firstly, I'm convinced this has nothing to do with the exhaust. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Its most noticeable when coasting downhill in dynamic mode and seems to be coming from the rear of the car. When I flick over to comfort it disappears. Something to do with the dif maybe?

It's the exhaust. It's back-pressure on overrun. Audi 'tuned' dynamic mode for it to be more prominent. Because race car.
