Just picked up my RS6 over the weekend and the previous owner used to run without a number plate up front. But has misplaced any parts associated with the number plate holder.

It does look alot 'cleaner' without but its not something i want to run the risk of doing as there is apparently now an on the spot fine.

While I source/look to order what I need are Many people running no plate without any bother?

Been running mine for well over a year now without any problem - however I did get a random pull near Euston Station a few months back but they seemed more interested in the car than lack of front plate. He asked where it was and I said indoors. The only time it goes back on is when I am travelling to Europe.

Thats interesting.

Although giving it more thought my private reg has a space in it that shouldn't be there so If I get stopped for that I will probably get done 2 times over!

I'll probably run the plate holder and decide if I want to take the risk.

So the front number plate isn't used at all? Isn't this a massive camera swerve ? If the police really wanted to be a massive pain what's the worst that could happen ? Confiscation of RS isn't cool ! :-/ guess you can say it's fallen off and play that card once !

Up to £1000 fine, MOT failure and confiscation for repeat offences.

I believe Thames Valley Police are cracking down on people choosing not to display a front number plate.

Same here, as my plate is already downsized I don't need the attention tbh . Small Swiss Plate holder on order from Audi though on back order currently .

Done this yesterday. Was going to run plateless for a while but had this plate already made up from a previous car so thought I’d try it in that location.

That really upsets my sense of symmetry.

Can't see why someone would ditch front plate and then substitute with that? But each to their own.

I see where your coming from. It’s not a permanent fixture by any means. I just wanted to see if it would grow on me. Tbh I’ve ran plateless on many cars so this one won’t be any different.
