Warranty & servicing.....

Not been on here for a while, but a recent trip to my local dealer has thrown up a couple of questions...
So car is just about to hit 40k, needs oil service, plugs, gearbox oil service and Im told needs front pads, which have only done 18k.
So my first question is, if I take it to MRC for all of this, will my extended Audi warranty still be valid? For some reason I always thought you had to maintain a dealership service history in order to not void the warranty.
Second question, what should I be looking at money wise from the dealer? And I m guessing will be a fair bit cheaper at MRC?
Thanks in advance for advice.....

Your looking at almost £2.5k for all that with the stealer. Not sure what MRC would charge.

Thanks, thats around what I was thinking. And with regards to my extended warranty, will this remain valid if I have the work done at MRC? TBH would rather take to MRC, as my local dealer has been woefully inadequate since day one, absolutely laughable service.

Yes warranty will be valid just as long as you have VAT receipt and all parts used are OEM

just be careful on that one - i know what is being said re any garage ... but when i had an audi extended warranty there was a term in there that made it sound like it had to be a dealer
just check the T&C before you do anything - it was something like "by taking this warranty yo agree to get the car .... at an approved audi centre"
might have changed now, but im talking in the last 3 years.

You will also be deleting any chance of any goodwill from Audi by not having it serviced with the main dealer
One option would be have the oil and gearbox and service done at Audi, question the plugs (40k seems a bit early, or is that just the interval on the C7?) and (unless the light is on) tell them to leave the pads (and do them yourself, MRC etc)

This is what I'd do.
Ian, from Memory, plugs on the Performance are due at 20k / years I think, but longer on non Performance.

Spot on. And be wary of “fine if you garage uses Audi parts” etc - bit more to it if you look at the small print. Much of it goodwill based

Extended warranty only valid if serviced by Audi approved. So basically a stealer.

Most keep servicing at stealers and “everything else” at specialists as long as they use oem to keep warranty and goodwill intact
No warranty, no stealers imo

I paid just over £1100 pound for my 40k mile service but no break pads to change.

I'm coming up to 38k on my 2015FL.
I'm in two minds as two what to do.
I'd like to get MRC to take care of the service, it needs gearbox fluids, oil change, filters and plugs etc... Currently the car has full main dealer history, and extended warranty which i took out at the end of the 3 year period. Aylesbury Audi fitted a non res milltek to the car and were happy to say this would'nt be a problem warranty wise.
I am keen to get the car up to stage 2 with MRC, I have the exhaust, i'd need to get the downpipes, NGK plugs and have the oil change. I see little point in getting the main dealer to change the plugs for OEM spec ones only for me to replace for NGKs to go stage 2. I'm also aware that at this point the extended warranty becomes pretty pointless once the car is tuned.
Thoughts?

I'm not sure why you bought the extended warranty if this was your plan!
You either have to write off the money you spent on the warranty (and take the risk) or wait till it runs out and then do the mods!
It's a risk appetite decision, and only you know your risk appetite.
Personally, I've waited till the warranty expired, and have the car booked into MRC in March!
You don't have to get the DP's replaced for stage 2, but you will need upgraded fuel pump
Happy days
