i saw that a few here have been running MPS4S for a while. How's the noise level? Do you have tyres with Michelin's noise-reduction foam (called Acoustic)?

I'm asking because I bought a set of Michelin Super Sports a year ago in 21' and they were so loud I ended up reselling them. The so-called "cavity noise" was atrocious, driving the car sounded like travelling inside an over-inflated basketball bouncing on pavement.

I can't get the MPS4S with the noise reduction foam here in NZ, and don't want to buy another set if they'll sound like the Super Sports. Appreciate any views on the tyre.

I have 20's and didn't notice any significant change in noise moving from MPSS to MPS4S, neither had foam. Are 21's available now in MPS4S?

There are road sections (e.g. the M25 concrete-paved bit near leatherhead/Reigate) where the background noise is awful on both, but I think that's down to a resonance between the surface grooves cut in the concrete and the tread pattern; I've noticed it in other cars with different tyre brands, but not all are afflicted.

I didn't think the MPS4S were available in 285/30/21.

I don't think so either. I bought a second set of OEM 20' wheels when I couldn't stand the Super Sports, tyres come in 275/35/20.
