Warranty / Exhaust question

Hi all,
New to the forum and relatively new to the C7 RS6 having had mine for 4 months now. The car is fantastic and has the Sports exhaust, but like many I'm craving a bit more drama... I've decided on a Milltek cat-back and had a couple of questions if i can draw on someones experience here please.
My car is under extended manufacturer warranty, so if i go Milltek cat-back does that void the warranty? I understand if a remap and more extensive mods would, but is a cat-back seen as acceptable? Also, resonated vs non-res... is non-res a bit too much?
Opinions/thoughts would be very welcome, thanks all
Matt.

I have had mine for about 4 months too and have just put on a milltek non-res cat-back and it sounds great !! I asked my dealer about warranty and they said it will be fine !

Thanks for the feedback, good to hear dealers are decent about it. Enjoy!

Thanks rtd. Is £2k fitted about right price-wise?

I think you should
Shop around for a milly but saying that why not possibly consider a custom jobbie from someone like fourie fabrications or if you want off the shelf then there is also larini, supersprint and akropvic but these are all more expensive than the milltek

Or chop out the front and centre resonators for a couple hours f hundred pounds and have a sound similar to milltek.

To answer the question of res or non res, this is a perfect snack thing. Some say res is just right others say it is too quiet and other will say that non res is also too quiet.

Lol!! You believe them!!
Better keep that email fella.
If your engine went pop you honestly believe Audi wouldn’t use a mod as an excuse not to payout?

I’m not doubting that they wouldn’t try it on but when they offered the Akro as an option previously - I find it hard to see how they would question it.

Id be very careful here, the policy wording clearly states that any mod at all will invalidate the entire warranty of the car...(I know its completely ridiculous) - there are however dealers out there that will ignore certain mods and simply put through warranty claims without disclosing any mods so its completely dependant on the dealer themselves and a bit risky...Very much doubt audi centrally will be saying this mod is ok but like it was said.. Get it in writing

Hmm, that's the issue. If I change the exhaust I give them a reason to refuse claims regardless of cause. Its frustrating as the sports exhaust noise is so tame I can't imaging how puny it would be without it.

My advice would be to call Audi UK, which is what I did. And if required get them to email you as well after you’ve spoken to them.
