Three childs seats in a C7?

Hi,

Sorry, this is a first post which doesn't focus on exhausts, tyres, etc!

I am the proud owner of a RS6 C7 Performance, together with two young children, and a third will arrive in the new year. I wondered if anyone has had any success getting three car seats across in the back seat of an RS6, and if so, do you happen to know what varieties of seats were narrow enough to make this possible?

At the moment, looking at the room between our existing seats, getting a third in looking practically impossible!

Many thanks

Maybe you need to consider an SQ7

Vasectomy would be far more economical.

Anyway, welcome to the forum and congrats on the RS6 and #3 child.

The front seat has isofix points so is 2 seats in the back and one in the front not an option if you can't squeeze 3 in the back?

I've recently had the same issue. Mine are 6, 4 and 11 weeks, so my solution is baby seat on isofix base behind driver, child seat behind passenger seat for 4 year old (with seat belt extender to ease fastening), and 6 year old goes in the middle with seatbelt adjustment strap to bring it down to his shoulder level. This works well for the school run and is legal as per my understanding of the legislation. For longer trips we tried using mifolds (of which I already had two) but they aren't very comfy, so instead I've bought him a trunki boostapak which he loves and says is perfectly comfortable (and has the benefit of lifting his legs up away from the aircon controls in the back).

No room for a third child car seat
Children under 3 must be in a child car seat. If there’s no room for a third child car seat in the back of the vehicle, the child must travel in the front seat with the correct child car seat.

Children aged 3 or older can sit in the back using an adult belt.

I also came up against that problem and the solution above was what we ended up doing. ISO fix for the baby, full harness seat for 3 year old and booster seat in the middle for my 6 year old using normal seat belt. He was tall enough and heavy enough to pass the legal requirements.

you could always sell one for scientific experiments
then only 2 seats required sorted
