AUC RS6 and finance

Post by CSK423 » Sun Aug 27, 2017 10:06 pm

Looking for some info if possible, I'm considering moving into an RS6 from the used approved market.

I think new is outwith budget hence looking at used, 50-60k car would be the budget.

PCP finance is the preferred route with a small deposit ie around £5k.

Would like to go car hunting armed with some info, ideally what an idea of monthlies may be over 4yrs with 8k miles/yr. The APR on AUC used is generally higher than new but the cheaper car can go towards offsetting this. However I know finance can be sought out with Audi therefore what have others experienced on this front ?

I'm not too bothered about spec as they seem reasonably heavily optioned.

any info appreciated.

I use my broker...have done for years, way cheaper than Dealer funding.

My payments are £920pm, 48 mths, £22k RV - circa 6%APR from memory - PM me for more details..... Audi equivalent at the time was £200 more per month.

Bought my car in may this year high spec (£98k when new) late 64 plate 13k miles on clock.
Pcp is £750/month with a £5k deposit doing 8k miles per year with a guaranteed end value of £28k. GC motors sorted finance, they got me by far best deal

Did my finance through Halifax as an existing customer, only 2k deposit on 51k sale price, GFV of 19k but end of agreement payment of 12k so margin built in and payments are £200+ a month less than Audi could do with better GFV and EOAS. 4.1% APR IIRC

The Halifax APR looks attractive but sounds like they pitch the GFV low, not a bad thing if the car holds money well but it does push your monthlies up. What's the context of the 12k you refer to ?

The £12k is the final settlement figure for the agreement so there is £7K margin in there should the car depreciate more than the GFV (excess mileage etc) I'd rather than have some money in effect equity in it as much as the monthlies are higher as insurance.

I think they are now up at 4.4% and you do have to be an existing customer.
