Insurance renewal

Just curious as to who everyone is using for their RS's? Premium from Admiral has just come through and the '7 has almost doubled to £1k and the better halves has increased by over 300% to £350 for an A1.
So go to the comparison sites and whilst I can get the A1 insurance for cheaper the RS7 minimum is £1k?
44 years old
Parked in street
15k miles
Class 1 business use
12 years protected NCB
no accidents or convictions in the last 7 years.
Non standard exhaust and filters.
Any recommendations welcome.

Unfortunately this is a product of theft.
Try NFU. It's a far better policy than Admiral so it may not be much cheaper.

I'm with Hastings. Was like £500 by I'm parked on my drive. Think the street parking might be working against you.

You say that knobby however last year it was £500. Like said it's doubled in the last 12 months and if anything, the value of the car has reduced and everything else remains the same so as ever with this legalised form of extortion, there is no justified reason for it.

Thanks Iain, I've tried LV and having gone through the online process they won't insure without a tracker!
Looks like as an existing customer you're OK but new customers are different (sounds familiar!)

Mine also went up last year. Nearly 80%.
Churchill are pony. Crap Admin, Crap cost for any change.
Get a better quote and hit them over the head with it if you do want to stay with them.
A Plan got me a better multi-car quote.

I'm with Tesco and paid £585.
Funnily enough, it cost me £40 more to be 'parked on a drive' as opposed to 'parked on a street'! How the hell do you work that out??

Because when the car is on the drive the thief knows which house to break into, whereas if it's on the street it's not necessarily outside your house.

Can also be even more expensive if parked in a garage. As above, the thieving scum know who owns the car but if garaged they 'may' have to break into the house/garage & thus a potentially larger claim with more dire circumstances.

Try calling sky insurance - specialist broker for high performance/modified cars.
I've got all 3 cars insured with them, with mods declared and covered like for like. Good service too.

I used Sky before Admiral, had the RS3 insured with them but when I asked for a quote on the RS7 the price was ludicrous. Then because they couldn't give me decent quote and therefore having to cancel, after 3 months on that policy I got a refund of only 3 months of the 12 months premium paid, seemingly the other six went to 'cancellation fees'. Never again.
Of course it wasn't their fault, it was Markerstudy the broker
