2015 RS6 avant with comfort seats

I'm looking to buy a secondhand RS6 and one that interests me doesn't have the usual honeycombed sports seats
The seats are termed comfort seats, not seen these before. They were obviously an option but can anyone tell me any thing about them and are they as good as the sports seats paired with the rs6?
Would like to canvass opinions before I take the plunge

I actually wish I had specc'ed the comfort seats. They don' t look anywhere near as good as the supersports seats but - my God - they are comfortable, whereas I don't find the supersports seats at all comfortable on a long journey.
Plus, the comfort seats are almost as supportive as the (not actually that supportive) supersports seats if you adjust the air bolsters up to their maximum. You could use the memory function to store a " cruising / comfort seatting and a "drive like crazy" function. Sadly, unlike the Mercedes cars, the Audi won't automatically select the supportive setting for you when you select Dynamic mode.
The only thing is that, to properly justify the loss of the cool-looking SS seats, I think the comfort seats need to be fitted with the £1600 optional massage and cooling option. then you are looking at some seriously comfortable seats for long journeys.
Anyway, there will be loads of people along in a minute to tell you that the comfort seats look like crap.
One thing I would be wary of - if it bothers you - it may make the car very difficult to sell on when you are done with it. Nobody (except me) wants the comfort seats.

Yes that was my concern, the re-sale impact however as I do lots of long journey and will trade in when it's time up move on I don't think it's as much of a worry to me
They really don't look as good though
Thanks for the feedback, I don't think it is a big enough issue to put me off

Hi i looked at two cars with these seats . I was wary but after sitting in them if the car had been at the right price and condition i would have not let the seats put me off buying.
The black car at guildford if its the one your looking at has been there a while.

I had a car with comfort seats to test drive they were spot on. However when I bought my used C7 I went for the sports seats based purely on the look as I don't do many long journeys

Thanks all, purchased the car and picking it up next Sunday
The reason the car has comfort seats is that the Audi entertainment mobile was selected as an option and apparently the sport seats are de-selected when opting for the tablets in the back
Didn't know that was the case but got an old manual and its correct

I drove 600 miles to Inverness and beyond, starting the journey just after midday on Christmas Eve (best daytime travel conditions all year, as almost everyone else had got where they were going by then anyway) and my two 18 year olds and I found my Super Sports seats really comfortable. The journey back after Christmas took a little longer, but again the seats were fine. Over 1,500 miles in 5 days was no problem seating comfort wise and hasn't stopped me doing another driving and sight seeing trip to Scotland and back since. Personally I really like the seats, and that's despite only just being in my late 50's at the time of my long trips and having marked lumbar scoliosis and L/S hip problems (probably from too much Squash). I had always found the B7 RS4's Sport Seats the best ever, but the RS6's run them close, in my view, and my partner much prefers them, as they are less "bucket and more padding", more adjustable and can be lowered further, so much easier for her to get in and out of than the RS4's.
When I get the opportunity I shall try out the Comfort Seats, but feel no need to change. However, if you want Audi's entertainment pack with two TV screens in the back and a TV on the MMI in the front, you need to have the Comfort Seat option. Audi doesn't offer a TV in the front only. But if you just like the idea of a TV facility on the MMI, then you can do as I have done (as I knew the rear screens were very unlikely to get used) and can have a TV tuner and Audi TV Adaptor successfully retro fitted.
Anyone got any photos of the Comfort Seats, particularly any with the massage and cooling function if they look any different?

Harrier you are almost right about the only way to get TV from factory was to spec the comfort seats with rear entertainment pack. This was true on facelift but in pre facelift cars the TV was available as a seperate option.

As Mike said I have TV in front in MMI with my sports seats.

I did a 600mile round trip in one with SS seats in my BiTDi and never had a single twitchy moment of pain or discomfort. An RS6 with SS seats is a must.

SS seats are super comfy and a must for resale in my opinion, when I was looking to buy there was one on the market with comfort seats for 4 months at an independent dealer, I did think it had sold finally but a friend in the trade said he saw it go in an auction in the end (don't know what for).
If resale doesn't bother you go for what you like though, sadly I'm always thinking of what next!

I tend to trade in and upgrade my cars so resale not an issue
The price I get for the trade in might be however
Will enjoy the car nonetheless and really excited as Sunday not too long to wait now
I'll report back once I've driven it for a while
