Lowering my new RS6 (C7)

Morning All,

Brand new member here. I am currently driving a late 2014 RS4 however this will be going in 3-4 weeks for my new RS6. Didn't get a new one but got a great deal on a year old with 5000 miles.

Before I pick the car up, I have asked for a few modifications to be carried out to the car. Included in the list was 15mm spacers to the rear and 12mm spacers to the front (H&R) and also to have the car lowered with the 20mm H&R springs.

My car has the dynamic pack so we are looking at DRC here. What I really wanted to know from everyone out there is two things;

1) Anything I need to be conscious of when lowering? Is it just a case of change the springs or is there a few other things that need to be addressed as part of the process?
2) What is the ride comfort like with 20mm springs fitted? Any different?

I would be very grateful for some feedback on the above points.

Thank you very much!

You won't need to do anything and won't feel much of a difference ride wise. Although I'm on Kw adjustable I'm guessing they are probably v similar to hr

I've lowered two C7,s now

Both in KW adjustable

They is a slight ride difference IMO from OEM...a very very noticeable one....a little more "choppy" imo but Deffo wort it and doesn't spoil ride at all.

Bonus with KW is you can adjust ride height to suit etc.

Spacers is a personal thing....I've also ran various widths and set ups....never caused any issues for me

Just once your set up make sure you get wheel alingment done.

I have H&R 20MM fitted. Ride comfort is fine but watch it on very bumpy country roads and yes get a full alignment done as well.
