Is the Dynamic package worth it and would you spec it on your car ?

As opposed to speccing DRC and dynamic steering separately which works out cheaper but without the speed limit increase?

Or are you asking if DRC is better than air and if dynamic steering is better than no dynamic steering? If so then there will be some people here who prefer air and some who prefer DRC. Same for steering. Question is, which do you prefer? I'd suggest trying out cars with both options to see which options are for you unless you plan to tow something in which case you'll need a car with air.

As Mike says... its personal preference, unless you need the tow bar option as then the decision will be made for you. For me I had to have the full Dynamic Package as initially I read reports that it offered a sportier ride and I quite fancied the speed limit increase. Until recently I'd never driven anything with air suspension but was given a courtesy S4 for two weeks and, whilst the ride was acceptable, I can confirm that I am happier with the DRC. Personally I have no problem with the Dynamic steering either despite reviews claiming it's not very engaging, feels numb at times, and some people just don't like it. My previous 2014 and current FL PE both had/have the Dynamic Pack and, in my opinion, for what it's worth, I would spec the same again.

Never driven a RS6 without it, but I am still impressed by the range of adjustment of DRC, between a Comfort mode which is compliant enough, and a Dynamic mode which is very taut. The range of adjustment is remarquable and well suited to a variety of driving conditions and road surfaces.
I am also very partial in favour of Dynamic Steering, I think it suits the effortlessness of the RS6 very well and do not find it intrusive.
I have not found myself with this car in configurations where the sport differential made a huge difference, but from experience with the SQ7, it can really work wonders.

I think sport differential is standard on all RS6. Still don't know what it does though. Haven't found a decent explanation other the it is sportier.
I test drive a car without dynamic and the air ride was just too floaty / rolly in dynamic mode for me. Others say it is comfortable but DRC in comfort made is quite floaty and soften out the harsh motorway bumps on long runs. Personally I wouldn't buy a car without DRC but each to their own. Lowering an air car is quite easy with the links if that interests you and you can still raise it when required so something to consider if you want to lower it and have a very steep drive for example.
The steering is a little numb in either case. Can't say I noticed it better or worse either way.

I do feel that Audi could make the options process a little easier, I had the same issue a few weeks ago. I got the chance to drive a car with dynamic pack for a full day and was very impressed with the ride quality, steering was neither here nor there, very similar in fact to my RS4. I eventually got to drive (albeit for about 10 miles) an air car and concluded that the DRC car rides as well with less body roll, the steering felt no different to the dynamic IMO.

I specced DRC on its own (the speed increase is of no interest to me), left the steering standard and spent the difference elsewhere, happy that I've made the right compromise although my 'air' experience was all too brief. Good luck with your decision.

I have a decent relationship with my local dealer and didn't Shop around, the discounts are quite healthy and depending on what you want the deal on the PE is pretty good as the residuals are better. Think I will end up paying @£870 with £10k down on a car listing at £94k. Worth contacting a couple of brokers (coast 2 coast, Broadspeed et al) if you want to get an accurate comparison.

Thats a better deal than the one i have just had ! Mine is £10k from me plus 2k off my old car to go in on a 92k car £889 on 48 month term

I'd suggest you try a couple of brokers to give you an idea of how good the offer is, up to you what you do from there. I can recommend Coast2Coast, decent people and very responsive, was less impressed with Broadspeed and can't really comment on the others.

Coast to Coast were very efficient however the Dealer, Beckenham Audi, gave me such an insulting P/X offer, almost 10k less than Southend Audi were offering, that I decided to go elsewhere and source my own deal...
