Can't wait, a week on Friday. They have done more cars for me than I care to remember.
Anyone got any first hand reviews of the C7 MAP? Standard sports exhaust but MRC air filter?

Exciting. Interested to hear your thoughts.
You out or in Audi warranty?

Interested to see how this turns out in terms of HP/lbs or in MRC language ps/nm
I don't have a comparison really as only drove a standard one for about 2 miles, which was FL.
Then bought a pre FL with map already on

I am inside Audi warranty. Audi Tetbury have never bothered with me and my mapped cars, in fact they carry Audi Tuning magazines in there showroom and service area and have a recommended list of after market tuners (if you ask the service manager)....MRC is on that list. They have only asked that I be honest with them and to that end, I have never had an issue.

That's awesome... I'm ringing Sheffield audi tomorrow about my daily alarm issues - I'm worried they won't touch it now it la been played with.

That's a pretty damn cool dealership! I asked the question at My local dealer before but may reach out to them again to see if they would be tuning friendly. Warranty is pretty much the only reason I haven't tuned yet.

Thing is, it's not the dealer who authorises warranty work, and once data is passed back to AUK, they make the call. The best you can hope for is a dealer steering any claims in a given direction. Once AUK deny, if it's for something non-OEM your card is marked.

Interested to hear about this as well. I asked about details for stage 1 and considering they do it on a rallying road I got what in thought was a very reasonable price. I think their reputation goes before them.
Just undecided as to whether remap is justified given it already goes like stink! I know Mike and rs6chris are extremely knowledgeable with previous remap so tend to find the threads with their experiences and opinions. But, I do like "tinkering" with things so remap may satisfy my urges if nothing else.

I think that when Audi hand out tuning awards to recognised tuners, they would be hard pushed to refute a claim from a recognised and approved tuner unless they can categorically prove that any failure has been caused by the tuning work.
Depends on what you have done I suppose but a remap, I think we should be okay - so long as the tuner is known and "approved".
Time will tell though

Which tuners are approved?!
The only tuner which has a factory link, in Germany anyway, and this is a bit dubious, is MTM.
If you've remapped your car absolutely they'll refuse it, it's against the terms of your warranty.

From experience, I can't say I agree. Depends on the service department and nature of the issue. Maybe agree to differ and hope none of us needs to find out...

Clearly if you go with a door rattle they aren't going to grip you. As soon as it's drive train your phucked. To think otherwise is naive.
As long as folk are aware that they could end up footing a large bill all is good.

Warranty woes are the biggy let's face it. Two key points here would be:
1. When your car goes in for anything and gets hooked up to diagnostics will it automatically detect a tune and 'black flag' it and hence warranty potentially void?
2. With regards to the 'best' tuners (MRC/Unit 20/DMS etc) how many drive train failures have there actually been? Not many I don't think. Plus with the tuners warranty (if they offer one) what protection does that in reality afford you? If the engine/drivetrain go pop and it's down to the tune and AUK send you the bill-does your tuner warranty pick up the tab?
