Removing my carbon grille etc if anyone is interested?

The car is going back to stock so I am removing the Akra and the carbon pieces.
Akra is provisionally sold to a member here. But I have the genuine front Carbon pack grille and lower splitter as well as the carbon mirrors to remove. Also have the sweeping rear indicator kit. Drop me a PM if interested.
Andy

Final points to close out my part of this thread.
Firstly to Andy thanks for the easy transaction. A very fair price for both of us. Good luck with the new motor!
If the rear valence & mirrors haven't sold & any forum members are interested then get them bought. Andy is a straight up guy so no risk compared to eBay, etc. One of the many reasons I always prefer to buy from forum members.
Secondly I had the Exhaust installed by CLP Automotive in Sheffield. They did a grand job & really took good care doing the install. Quoted me 2 hrs labour but spent 4 hrs on the install & only charged me the 2 hrs quoted. Impressed with the team there & would certainly consider using them again. MRC & Unit 20 is a long trip for us northerners.
Finally I've pondered the Exhaust question ever since I got my car 15 months ago. I have the factory sports Exhaust on mine. Comfort/normal was always a bit too quiet & sport too uncouth for my tastes. I've watched & listened to countless
YouTube videos of Milltek & Akrapovic exhausts. For me I've never been able to justify the cost of the Akra but was always concerned about warranty implications of the Milltek (... I always thought I had a good defence with the Akra seen as it's a factory option on the German Audi Configurator). Anyway so far I'm very pleased with the acoustics of the Akra. Admittedly I'm still in the honeymoon period after only 1 day but it provides just the right balance of noise for my personal tastes. I wanted a bit more low down rumble in normal driving, no drone at Motorway speeds & bit more of a sports car wail at the top end in sport mode - all delivered in a classy way. That's not to say the Milltek doesn't do this. Anyway very pleased with the Akra. Now I've heard it in the flesh would I consider forking out £6.5k for a new 1 ... hmm tough call, a lot of cash for a tighter arse Northener but yes I think I would ... or wait & pounce in a good used example as & when they appear.
Rich.

They do seem to be a decent bunch at CLP. They aren't that far from me. Did you have the sports exhaust before Rich? Quite curious about the difference, I've seen mixed comments about the Akra - probably due to the hefty price tag.

Yes had the factory sports Exhaust. Was on my must have list when getting my car. Was initially very impressed but soon got tired of the noise in dynamic/sports mode. Was just a load blaring noise & the pops/crackles too contrived for my liking. Ended up not using sport mode very often for that reason. Akra still has pops & bangs but as an accent to the main orchestra. It has the rumble I have been hankering for. Still early days admittedly.
Yes price tag is hefty. Too hefty for my tastes relative to the worth of most pre-FL cars. My man maths calculator assumes the Akra will retain a good proportion of its value in a few years time so although an initial sizeable outlay it is going to retain £2k to £3k of its value so can be justified. Well that was my logic & I'm sticking by it !!

Makes for very interesting reading as when I got my C7 I was looking/listening to different exhausts on
YouTube and manufacturer sites. Akra is by far my favourite sounding exhaust and would tend to agree with what you say about it, from what I would perceive it to sound like. But, no way am I paying for that much just for the sound.
Will ever be on the look out for a decent used one......and those tips!!
