Hi,
Does anyone know this car, and what do you make of it?

A mate of mine took back his deposit off this car 2 weeks ago
Yes it's a 65 plate - but its low spec - guess you have to decide whether you want the newer car or a slightly older one with a few more miles and toys such as pan roof and 21's, both of which will help come resale time
Whatever you decide to do, as a car, its unbeatable day to day
Mate went for a Xmas tree spec 64 plate - black one for similar money

Agree with this. I went for a pre FL with high spec. I wouldn't buy Audi approved used again but it was the only route for me to get finance. The 145 point check is not worth a wa#k. I'm sure they just tick all the boxes regardless. You pay a premium via Audi but it's honestly not worth it.
This is the first time for nearly 20yrs I haven't bought privately

What do you think the dealer would accept?
Do you think there is any space for negotiation?
Resale value in 6/8 month?

I would prefer newer FL over old model with higher spec. And while 20s don't look as cool as 21s to most people's eyes, I prefer their concave profile and they are much lighter and stronger - watch for buckled 21s when test driving.

The next car on approved "used cars.audi" I notice is also white, asking 60K, 6 months older, 28,600 miles and in Derby - awaiting photos. Perhaps that has higher spec.?

The car was for sale in the summer last year at a different dealer, and seemingly has only covered 3000 since that time.
I know the Head of Business at Shrewsbury Audi, so I can find out more if you want.
From what I have seen recently with his stock, he'll have priced a car ike this keenly to shift due to it being low spec. I suspect it was a p/x.

It's more what you're prepared to offer.

Value in 6 to 8 months ? Who knows depends if they announce a C8 ??

I got an amazing deal on finance, without going into details, at my local dealer......amazing! But, I am a repeat customer and my wife got her car there. I'm not exactly naive when comes to car salesmen so I know when I've got something good. On finance you can get a good deal as they have more room for maneuver from making money off the finance. Ask for free Alloy and wheel insurance. If you don't have a deposit then might be worth getting the GAP insurance but not likely with the value these cars hold. I would try to get at least £3k off and I am not the best bargainer. Also, you are not tied into finance for the full term. I have a year left on mine and am trading up to RS6 and starting again.
If you're like me you like to be very well informed when getting a car like this. But, at the end of the day I do believe in gut instinct. That bit of the brain disseminating all the information behind the scenes, coming to a decision and gently prodding you. What does your gut say?

Personally I think that's pretty good value having just bought a pre FL one.
Spec is pretty low I guess but if you chip the dealer you can easily get 21's post purchase etc. Low miles..
Only thing for me would be the colour, white as we all know was very on trend and I guess still is, doesn't suit the RS as much as other colours (my view only of course!)

I paid £64k for mine last may - March 15, 6500miles, Pan Roof, 21's Red Calipers, Some other bits, Dynamic pack etc etc - was up at £67k - JCT600 Bentley; I lost out on 7 others calling about - they don't seem to hang about long.
Rob, TartanS4 on here has paid £62k for 18k, 64plate Avant - HUD, PAN ACC, Sports Exhaust, Dynamic Pack, 21's, Ali pack, plus other toys - Chopped his RSQ3 having had 740bhp MRC C6 Saloon previously.
didn't go through Audi finance as my broker I use is always cheaper.....Audi can't match the RV or the APR.

Screen price has steadily been reducing from £64k - it's been on sale for months. When it first appeared I offered £58.5k and asked them for a deal to retro fit a few options, 21's, camera, etc. Offer was rejected outright with the response "we can't, that's what we took it in for!!
I was told it had been chopped in for another RS6.

Camera is expensive to retro fit - I looked at a Daytona one, no camera - it was a must for me with the other half driving it.
If its your first RS, then it will be an experience, though I think once you have had the car for a few months, you will miss the 21's, etc when you see another one go past....
What are your "must haves' for the car - is White a pre-req? 65plate? under 10kmiles etc?
