Any recommendations for who to try?
No tracker installed, is it essential?

NFU mutual were good for me. No tracker required and in the event of a total write off or theft a brand new car not the fair market value so will save on gap insurance. I pay £540 per year inc business use. Mid thirties, no points or claims and 14 years NCD protected (they offered max NCD on 7 years)

I'm not sure you'd get the same quote now. It'll also depend on the quoted value.

Agreed, last year's renewal for all the people I know showed a sharp increase. I had a 33% increase. Lady on the phone dealing with my metal burp started with "well insurance premium tax did go up" - red rag to a bull.
I moved to Churchill and cannot condemn them enough. I won't be with them next year. Termination costs mean I will be going to the end of this period or I would have left already.

I think I had quotes of around £400 when I bought the car with no NCD (over 20 years on my RS4 though) and value set at real the cars real purchase value (ie over 75k). However i went with Adrian Flux for £600 as they only charged an extra £50 for all the mods I was planning. Renewed this year for £650 (with 1 years NCD) although Adrian Fluxs original quote went up quite a lot but after doing a go compare job they price matched another quote.

Got my RS6 delivered on Saturday

. It is used, but since I have just done insurance I thought I would say to check out a-plan. They gave me a rate of 730 with 7 years NCD. Only £50 more than my S5.

FYI, business use has not added anything to my premiums every time I've ever added it. I have it limited to something like 3000 miles.

Cheapest was priveledge or more than at 520 quid
A plan for 25% power and exhaust - 770

Oh and with that I needed a tracker or garaged when at home between 10 and 6 to claim theft insurance.
Priveledge and more than weren't arsed if it was garaged or tracked!

I can't believe you'd be covered on track though.

Think he means tracker rather than tracked.
Doubt very much any insurer at those premiums would include track days for the RS6 as that's specialist insurer territory & an awful lot more money.
