New PE Ordered - Recommendations for Detailer

Hi all - Ordered a new PE on Friday, Askari Blue with a couple of extras. :jump_clap:

Should arrive around mid March (was already in the system and spec changeable)

I know I have a while to wait but can anyone recommend a decent detailing company near Cambridge? I'm keen to have the paintwork protected but want to have it done as soon as it arrives at the dealers. ie: Detailer unpacks it, sorts the paint and then protects before the dealers valeters go anywhere near it with their brillo pads! :bash:

Thanks all

Your dealer needs to agree to that first up, some will, some won't. If they will, who have they worked with before?

Can I ask if you got a better deal taking one that is already in the system over a factory order ?

I've been trying to find the right deal but was told by one dealer to hurry up as c8 A6 is coming out the middle of this year so they might stop taking orders on new C7 RS6 but didn't know if he was just trying to push me to sign on a deal that wasn't that good when added up.

You won't specifically get a better deal on an existing order. It isn't likely to be material to the dealer. The only exception is going to be a car locked for build where the buyer has pulled out.

Ultimately if it's just an order without confirmed build it may not get a build and/or the dealer can give the slot away.

Even if it's locked with confirmed build the factory can bail out. Been there, got the t-shirt.

C8 is near.

Has to be close now, doesn't it?

Wonder if we will see the same as when production B8 RS4 was finishing? Quite literally hundreds of run out models built with no owner, sitting unregistered / pre-registered at dealers, Audi pretty much forcing dealers to take them. Great time to buy if you specifically wanted a new one - they were going new for 45k - there was a sweet spot when the dealers had loads left and it was definitely a buyers market. Hopefully Audi don't flood the dealers and don't build too many C7 RS6s that don't have owners, won't exactly help residuals for those who have just bought one

Didn't really discuss the deal in terms of order time.

Basically went in, test drove, went through the specs and told him I was happy to order there and then if the deal was right. Got pretty much the norm on deals as was armed with a few Car Wow quotes for reference

Have bought my last 3 cars from the same dealer so I think they knew I was serious.

Only when we had agreed the deal did he come back and let me know they had an amendable spec already in the system and another one which had a spec that was locked. So went for the amendable, and just tweaked with a couple of extras

Sounds bang on to me. March 2017 delivery would be perfect too - 17 on the front of your shiny new car.

Plus you avoid the new road tax prices starting 1st April.
