Anyone tried the MTM-Tuning ? I`m seriously consider it.
This is a addon ECU with harness to connect to turbo, air intake etc.
I know.. a lot of Eur, but pros is warranty for up to 3 years on engine and trans. And possible to take out and remap and sell to another when selling . Easy DIY install/uninstall and almost untraceable when taken out .

Yep, for me the biggest benefit is that your ECU isn't flashed so Audi couldn't detect it.
The downside is you can get a flash/remap for far, far cheaper!
All comes down to your appetite for risk. Personally, i find the car fast enough and at 600bhp out of 4.0l with a BIG cooling challenge, i am not prepared to take the chance. There's also the gearbox; someone (not on the forum) told me they worked on a car with a broken gearbox after it was remapped.

In fairness, you are paying for their development cost as well. I'm sure MTM charge a premium because they want to be seen as premium.

And it's backed by their warranty and you keep your manufacturer warranty intact also - this is a big incentive.

As I understand for 700 hp you need 100+ petroleum otherwise it can be problematic for your engine , i was also looking for upgrades but I was looking at ABT 666hp so at least you no need 100+ petrol

I have Performance. Its the same figures at ABT (560 to 666 and 605 to 705).
MTM state minimum 95 and 98/100 for high perf. I cannot imagine a ECU tuned car has it different.

I'd be interested to see why the Performance has a higher figure after the MTM tune. Surely the main power boost from both tunes is an increase in boost pressure which is why the performance has more power to start with. Surely a after a tune they should be at the same power level?
I have seen on an RS7 video mention of other changes to the Performance engine other than just a boost increase but not seen this confirmed by Audi anywhere.

Whats the deal with the registration date?
up to two years of registration date €5,990 / from two years of registration date €5,390

Warranty.
5 990 Eur is for new cars valid two year from registration date.
5 390 Eur is for cars older than two years , means no warranty anymore.

ABT states 102 octane if you have 700 hp tune from them

This is the answer i got from MTM: (this i valid for a Perf car)
"unfortunately is 98 octan minimum with 95 octan you don´t have the full power of 707 ps.
What we can do is an special applicaten to 95 octan but you have then only round about + - 680/690 ps."

i can give you an advice, if you a bad petrol octane , < 95 ron...don t try to tune your motor.
i do it..and i broke my motor.
our octane is 95 ron, but after test by auto magazin, the find 81-83 orn for 95...
when i want to tune with BR perfomance or oettinger Flash ..i have error combustion with detonation. you must to reduce the advance motor (less donw than the stock advance) and take off the original dowpipes.
so i would to take the abt or mtm plug and play...but the octane is too high..100-102..and is too expansive
when i show apr, the have a flash for 95 ron .

If u put 98 ron on a car with 700 ps tune it can be problematic to your motor, detonation and so on, I would go for ABT 666 hp tune so you easy can put then 98 Ron
