Hi guys, does anyone know at what intervals Audi recommends the gearbox oil is refreshed? And also wether or not we should ignore the interval and have it done more often?

I'm intretsed in getting this done too.

On a separte note...My car went for MOT at Audi (18k) mileage and I was enquiring about service..they told me Audi recommend both diff oils to be changed too????

It's a sealed for life unit - well this is what Wandsworth Audi told me yesterday

Yes I was also wondering about the diff oils. Sealed for life sounds like bollox! My wife's multitronic a4 has oil changes recommended every 40k, although a gearbox specialist I was talking to the other day said he would recommend every 20k. Of course prob different for our cars, but interesting....

Well that's what Audi say - I was told it would get a GB service done when was buying car - but when I enquired if it had been done Wandsworth told me no as it's sealed and Audi say no. Don't bother me as they made that call and if something goes wrong they will have to sort it.

Load of bollocks....I'd suggest unit 20 or MRC to do it.

Audi won't touch it.

I agree with you but if that's what they say it's fine by me if not warranty can pick the bill up.

Inclined to agree, if any issues they can pay. Mines on a service plan until May 2019, but coming up to 20k so just wondering...

Diff oils is normally 19K miles. At least it was on the RS4. I think it's the same for the 6.

Do audi dealer change it or you need to ask for it?
