Hi guys, just woundering if the rs6 has a high oil consumption. Jsst bought the car 3 weeks a go, with almost half full oil (when i checked in the mmi) so been driving it daily and tok a 2 day trip to germany from norway. And the oil os almost empty. Is this normal since i never topped up the oil on my rs5 b5 between oil changes.

Not normal. I've not used a drop in 10k miles.

I've got the oil level warning just over 6000 miles / 7 months. I assume as the oil gets older it will use it quicker like the B7 did.

Ah i see, i did 3000 km ( about 1800miles ) in 3 weeks so used it alot Love driving that thing. I have oil change tommorow, and il see if she still drinks alot of oil

I assume Doodle doesn't do more 6000 miles between oil changes? With the B7 i found that the first 6 months / 6000 miles after a service it used no oil, then after than the usage would increase until it was drained and completely changed.

It was changed early doors, and is being changed next week. It started whinging about three weeks ago.

You've not lost a drop in 10,000 miles and 18,000 miles? Shouldn't it have had an oil change after 9000 miles?

Oil level warning came on just after 6000 miles on mine.

Mine has done 12000 miles, nothing is showing in the MMI that any oil has been consumed. I did 4000 miles this summer during 6 days, the only thing the car drank was fuel

9600 to be precise then
And none in the last 4000 since first service.

My car came from the factory set to long service intervals. I am working on the basis that Audi wouldn't allow an 18,000 mile service interval if it weren't OK, although it does seem like quite a long distance without an oil change to me.

I thought mine was set to long service too and I think mine says 1st service at 18,000 but oil change at 9,000.

That is normal regime. Long is first everything at 18k.
