RS6 ORDERS ON HOLD

Was at Audi city today for the launch of the R8 Spyder and TTRS today and spoke to a techie about the RS6 order books, I heard from someone that it was to be closed next month, the techie stated the order books are closed for about 2 weeks weeks due to a high demand in customers ordering new cars, but it would reopen in a few weeks time. I was asking as i was interested in ordering a performance edition in a few months time as i've only had mine for 16 months. Does anyone know how long the PE will be made for?

Nobody knows how long, it is all speculation. My opinion is that it will be available until close to the end of C7 production.
There was talk the other day about the MY17 changes, perhaps this is to clearly define the change between the MY16 and 17 orders.

There is also talk of this 2nd PI on A6 - perhaps independent from MY17 -
A6 does move to MY17 at bw22 - all cars built after may 30th will be MY17

See the news item on Audi.co.uk. Though its PI, product improvement, not MY change. Folk seem to assume there's a new MY every year, that's not the case.

Generally they do move MY each year, it just doesn't always happen at bw22

We are enhancing the style, comfort and connectivity on our executive class A6 and A7 Sportback model ranges. This includes a new trim level on A6 and A6 Avant, interior upgrades and new equipment on all A6 and A7 Sportback models and their S trim counterparts, and a new colour palette on RS 6 Avant and RS 7 models.
Ordering for the latest models (MY17) will open in May, with deliveries starting in the summer.
RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback
The colour range on the RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback and RS 6 performance and RS 7 Sportback performance has been expanded to include four new matt colours:
• Sepang blue
• Nardo grey
• Glacier White
• Floret silver
In regard the RS6 the only other mention specifically is a £410 price increase.

I also think that may be correct, they usually they don't allow any new orders for 1-2 weeks while they fill/move the orders for MY'current', and begin taking orders for MY'new'.

Sorry if I missed this - but any mention of costs for these 4 new paint options?

I'd assume same as Daytona Matt. Don't forget the required aftercare for matt paintwork, you can't just wash and polish like a normal lacquered paint finish.

I think they are £500 more than Matt Daytona - £5750 (?)

Thanks
Would have been better if they had increased (or re introduced) some no cost paint options !

Could it be that, when I login to my Audi portal the picture has disappeared of my rs6 and has been replaced with a r8 have anything to do with this pi update?
Has this happened to anybody else?

They seem to change it around every so often. I've had everything from an Audi badge, RS6 logo, my car (in grey) to an R8.
Maybe it has something to do with updates, not sure.
