Post by anth8910 » Tue Feb 23, 2016 12:42 pm

Just had a "High Oil level please reduce" flag up on the dash?
Anyone else had this? I have never topped it up and have only done 700 miles??

High Oil Level???

Yep. I had it. I had changed the cap for an R8 one and it set it off. Can be just a small amount of oil around the neck or on the cap that sets it off. I have also heard it can be something to do with the bonnet catch, but not sure why. Give the cap and neck area a good wipe and should be ok

yep,had it as well, you need to open the bonnet and close it,apparently when you open the bonnet maybe to look at the engine, this logs in the computer and thinks you put oil in !!!! worked with me anyway.

This happened to me a couple of months ago. My dealer told me that this is a known problem with RS6 C7's and if I bought the car in they would drain away some oil until the message went away. I did this twice and still the warning light came on. On the third visit the oil pressure sensor was replaced under warranty and I've never had the problem again.
