Has anyone tried or heard of these after market airintakes.

I had a k&n fitted to my old C4S and the sound was great! No to concerned about the claimed figures but I'm hoping the noise from the TT will be brilliant!

I use one on my 3.0t and it's great, hearing good things on other forums for the 4.0t engine with some people switching to them from the awe carbon option so that they can hear it more over the exhaust

I looked at them but expensive for what you are getting.

My idea was 2 of these with 2 huge K&N filters and some sort of fabricated cold air box / shroud. should not be that hot compared to other cars as all the really hot bits are inside the V of the engine. still a cold box can only help.

Ordered earlier. £390 delivered so not to bad.

Sure the K&N with cold box was around 300 for c4s.

It's says easy fitting no drilling so perfect for warranty issues if needs to go back to Audi

I know the engines are the same but did you notice the snapshot above doesn't list the RS6?

Yes that's because they do not sell the C7 RS6 in the states.

Finally a RS6 you can stick some cone filters in, previous two were so tight on space! only drop ins were possible.

Some gold reflective tape would help too, I think pretty much any little thing would be worth doing to protect intake temps with so much heat under the bonnet.
