Insurance without tracker

Delivery looming. Time to sort insurance, whose got good deals without a tracker.
For the record I've tried Aviva who wouldn't touch it without a garage. Any tips?
Will be insuring to full invoice value this year as I asked the dealer would GAP cover the difference if I put it under 75k. They said it would probably cause trouble as "technically as its a new car you are deliberately undervaluing it" which could cause trouble If it came to a payout situation.

Try Admiral, I'm with them and no tracker required. On the gap front,
Shop around. I used a broker in the end and got it for £250 for 3 years with £50k return to invoice.

I am with direct line, had 4 x GTR'S and the Audi RS6 insured with them without a tracker.
Dave.

Admiral quoted. One thing I didn't know was they now bump your premium if you had to take a speed awareness course. What a con!

I am with Churchill 344 notes no tracker
Keep value below £75k and you will be fine. Above that and things go mental.

Did consider keeping the value under 75k but dealer advised it may cause problems with GAP should a payout incident arise.

I've been with Direct Line for ages, never wanted a tracker on either of my S8's even after one was stolen (crashed by thief and repaired at considerable expense); parked on driveway not garaged.

NFU. No tracker. No garage. 2 year replacement new car (so no need for GAP). Not the cheapest but their "we will not quibble" mantra has applied to every claim I have made over 20 years. No connection btw other than very satisfied customer.

Be interested to hear how you get on. My insurance went mental over £75k most would not ever quote and some that did wanted thousands.

But why would you advise less than market value? That's dubious in itself.

Has market value anything to do with it?. My invoice was less than £75k after discount.

Well that's fair enough. But sticking down 75k when the invoice is 100k is just daft.

After a PM with Eddie55 there is no way I'm putting less than invoice value. Not worth it.

Agreed. Trying to bum an industry that will wriggle out of anything is just stupid.

Yes definitely. I was more thinking if it was 75 or 76k something like that. Still dodgy I suppose
