Hi guys
I've bought a set of replacement gloss black Audi badges for my RS6 and was wondering how the front badge is removed, can it be done with the bumper in place or does the bumper have to be removed?
Cheers

I've not seen a C7, but if it's the same as the B8 (and C6) then unfortunately it's not easily at all - I was going to replace my rings with black but realised it was a bumper / grille off job so gave up on the idea!

if its the RS6 Badge im sure that clips out easily if its the ring i have been told its possible to unclip them but i could not get my sausage fingers in the back of the grill so i had to cut mine out with a hacksaw blade

RS6 badge clips in and out easily. I'm presuming the OP means the rings, which are a PITA.

I'm collecting my car at start of January, and was planning to see how the black rings looked. How difficult is it, and is it reversible or are the silver rings damaged in the process..?
Thanks

It's reversible if you take the bumper off, and pop the rings out from behind. If you cut/snap the rings off, obviously it's not. It's a pain in the bum to take the bumper and grille off. You could of course carefully cut them off with a dremel I'd guess - didn't think of that on mine, and not something I'm keen to consider on a brand new car!

Snap the old one out and fit the black ones.
If you change your mind and want to go back to chrome, snap out the black one and buy a new chrome one. Simples. They are hardly expensive.

Thanks for the advice guys, I think I'll remove the bumper to get to them as I don't fancy breaking anything. It was the Audi four ring emblem that I want to remove btw.

Very tricky to remove the rings without damaging the surround that the rings sit in. In the end I had the bumper taken off.

Finally got around to putting the badges on. I took it to a local garage that does vinyl wrapping and they managed to take off the old badge without removing the bumper and without breaking the badge or the clips! Looks a lot better now

or just paint them with plastidip, then peel off when you get fed up with the colour. Amazing stuff. my kids have done loads on their cars. Looks good then just peels off when you want to. My son did the whole roof on his Cupra then just pealed it off when he sold it.
