Took the plunge

Post by Markp » Sat Sep 26, 2015 5:14 pm

I have been looking for a nearly new RS6 for a while and decided to price up a new one at Tetbury Audi and they had my perfect car in stock - cancelled order. So I bought it. Arrives Wed and can't wait.

Daytona grey / black leather
Carbon pack (very expensive but looks great)
Sports exhaust
Pano roof
Red brake calipers
Sports suspension with DRC
Heated rear seats

One piece of advice please from any of you who own a dog - do Audi do a good luggage bay (boot floor and sides protector)? Or best to go aftermarket - Boot Buddy etc?

Thanks

Mark

nice one - im waiting too fingers crossed for november get some pics up asap when you get it.

the problem with the audi ones is they only cover the floor and you really want the sides as well as you have mentioned.
i have had hatchbag ones for all my cars where available and imo they cant be beaten, price hurts though once you start adding extras.

My wife picked the car up today and texted me to say that it makes a great noise, has effortless power and the seats are very comfy.

Got away with it then :D

Not as brave as you may think. She is quite a driver. It's in her genes - her mother was one of the first women to win her class in the RAC, and her brother was British and American rally champion (and he never could catch his little sister).
Just hope there is some fuel left for when she picks me up from the train!

Nice part of the world.

Check out Travall. I have a boot liner for mine, as I had one in my last Rangie. Only for the floor, not sides. It is incredibly hardwearing and robust and fits perfectly. I just put up with getting rid of the hair from the sides and, obviously, one cannot use the rail system.

Didn't realise you can keep the silver mirrors with the carbon pack. Looks good with the standard wheels. I had to go with black mirrors as part of the non carbon black styling

Thanks. I have been looking for a car on 20s but most have pretty poor spec. I prefer the look - but appreciate most don't - but just as importantly think the handling sweet spot for the RS6 is DRC plus 20s. And they are a very light wheel for the size.
