The dreaded long wait starts....

Hey All
So finally took the plunge and went and ordered the RS6 today. I had one on order early this year , but came out of the deal due to other commitments. This time i've decided to use it as the family wagon along side the B7 RS4 and get rid of the POS X5 that we have.
I've gone exclusive paint so i have a little longer than usual to wait , but should be worth it in the end

- The long wait now begins
Just out of curiosity has anyone gone exclusive paint and if so what sort of time were you looking at ? 6 months is what i've been told by the dealer , but i guess it depends whats going through the production line...
Cheers

Im waiting just like you - ordered a couple of weeks ago with an initial date for delivery in November but we know how these things can change.
Was quite reserved on the spec and went for Daytona myself with the 21" black wheels which i am still undecided about as i have kept the chrome.
What exclusive colour have you gone for?
If they have ordered they should be able to give you the initial week it is in for (at the moment).

Hey Scottie
Im a porsche/audi guy through and through , but seen as i needed the estate for the kids and dogs etc i went RS6. As a compromise to my Porsche roots i've decided to go with my favourite GT3 colour Voodoo Blue
If you haven't gone with the black pack then i would maybe go with silver 21" wheels instead mate.

Thanks M1RXE. What colour did you go for in the end ? Was tempted with the ceramics , but just came away from it in the end...

Wow, that voodoo blue looks stunning.
Its similar to the nogaro blue but a little bit deeper, which was the problem for me with nogaro.

voodoo blue - awesome
im in a real dilemma with these wheels - would have the black pack but i personally dont like the quattro on the front grill - and grey with grey wheels im not too sure about - silver aint my favorite either perhaps i should flip to Misano or sepang, colours which i have had before arrghh

Nope , sunny Aberdeen mate. There is however a imola yellow RS4 up for sale just now though by a private seller...

yeah i know what you mean with the quattro badge, but everytime i haven't had black on the window trims i've kicked myself for it later and wish i'd had it. The sepang blue is lovely , it was what i had chosen up until today. In saying that i did see a misano with black gloss wheels today that looked the business

Scottie you really have to go black with the wheels. I've seen a few with silver and silver wheels and you just don't get the stealthy look. As per mine.

TBH though i've never seen an RS6 that i've thought looked like crap no matter what the colour combination - all down to your own preference...

Sepang with carbon FTW!
Curious are they supplying Voodoo Blue as a colour to sample? I had exclusive paint once....never again, bit of a delamination issue with the lacquer. Put it in on warranty and they cocked that up as well.

I just told them thats the colour that i want as i have personally seen it on a Porsche GT3 before and loved it. They made a call and said that the colour could be had , so i went for it...
