1st service saving
1st service saving
Car is due for its 1st service early September, quoted £335 from all the 3 local dealers this is for an oil change, oil filter, and sump plug washer and health check, oil cost alone was £189, after checking around for a better price a company on ebay was selling 10 litres of shell helix ultra for £69.80. (after checking I could supply my own oil). calling my closest dealer they would carry out the service for £135, a couple of days later went to another localish dealer with a friend, had a chat with the service chap who agreed to do the service for £110. total cost £179.80 saving £155.20. I also cancelled my service plan (which wasn't set up correctly in the 1st place). I guess the point of the post is Shop around and don't just accept Audis prices as so many of my friends do
Re: 1st service saving
Price of oil is where audi will always try to have your pants down. When it comes to oil shouldn't really scrimp and scrap on the cheaper all brands.
Shouldn't you be using Castrol Edge??

Re: 1st service saving
Ive done 7k miles on mine and engine was running a bit rough, and was recommended Motul 300V Racing oil, I had the oil changed at my local dealer for £130 which included filter and labour, Motul cost me £120 online and I would recommend it to anyone wishing to find a alternative oil to Shell. Engine is so much smoother around town and even in Sports mode it makes the car feel nicer
