Seat Setting and poor comfort

Post by aljenod » Fri Jul 31, 2015 11:44 pm

Is anyone else having problems with getting a comfortable seat setup. I'm 5'8 and 15 St, and cannot find a setup that allows me a pain free journey. After 2 hrs driving I have arse ache and calf ache in my right leg. I used to have seat low as possible and legs nearly straight, but find in the RS6 seat won't go back far enough, and i now have seat at max height.

I am around the same build as you and have struggled in all of my VW group cars with back problems, except for my VW T5 van. I don't have a back issue generally, but it was so bad when driving I had to have a cushion under my left butt cheek on long journeys! This is my first Audi with electric seats [never saw the point of the additional weight of them before]. Now I am able to set my seat exactly how I need it {memory function- key comfort function] rather than a compromised position given both me and my wife drive the cars and both hate having to fiddle about about with the seat when we get in. So for me, I have adjusted the seat as follows: As low as it will go, front squab also low but just enough to know it is there but not actually grabbing me behind the knees. Lumbar support essentially off, and rake of the seat set backwards- not ned style- but only just touching my back half way up. Essentially I adjusted it to give me as little support as the seat in my T5 gives me- looks a little better though :jump_clap: ! I have done 3 hour plus journeys with no problems at all. As soon as I get in the wifes Q5 I am again aware of some butt/back pain after an hour or so. So I dont drive the Q5 that much....and why would I :rocker:
