Touch up paint

Hi all,
I tried to get some Panther black touch up paint in one of those prefilled sticks only to be told Audi don't make it in that colour and the bodyshop will have to mix it up for me in a tin? Seems a bit odd to me but can any one confirm this? Feel like I'm having the pi$$ taken out of me
Thank you

Makes sense, as Audi supposedly pulled Estoril Blue because of matching problems whenever paint correction was required on the production line or at the dealerships. As Panther is a crystal colour as well, I guess it's all of those gold and purple and silver flakes that make it hard to match - and also make it hard to pre-mix on a mass-production scale and get a good colour match.
Please let us know if you manage to source a stick. I have Panther, too, and will no doubt need to touch up some stone chips at some point.
thanks

I also suspect that the two pack application is more critical for the crystal finish and therefore not possible to provide paint in a stick, will need separate lacquer.

Get the front end clear wrapped so you don't get any stone chips.

Thanks for the info guys may wrk have to get a tin mixed up, I've always had the cars wrapped but in the last 6 years I've never kept a car longer than 8-9 months so I've always felt it was a waste. Thought I'd risk it this time and look where it's got me

Had the same issue with my wife's Estoril Blue SQ5 got a spray tin made up from Dingbro in Aberdeen
poor really that they don't supply a paint stick for there own colours they call it a lifestyle paint what ever that bollocks means
so yes you'll have to get a tin made up from a paint
Shop
i went to a third party as Aberdeen's body
Shop paint matching is shocking over the years i have always had to put my car back twice at least as the paint jobs were shocking and you could see the different shades of paint after there first attempts
