Should I be concerned ?

So.... My cars been at the docks in England for the last two and a half weeks, my dealer went to pick it up towards the end of April on their own transporter and Audi refused them access as apparently the docks were too busy. So delivery has been pushed from 3rd week April to last week April to now an unknown future date. I was put into the dealers courtesy car for a few days and then yesterday had a call out of the blue from Audi UK who said my car had been delayed longer than expected and wanted to put me into one of their UK cars, which they did so today. The dealer is telling me the car is still sat at the docks so I rang Audi customer services who have confirmed this but can't tell me when it will arrive. It's been escalated to the 'executive team' as Audi claim there are another 40 RS6's stuck at the dock ??
So my first issue is should I be worried that my car has been damaged and they need extra time to fix it?
Secondly, I've had a really bad experience with a detailer in the south who ruined my turbo ,so I've waited a long time for a guy who's work is impeccable but this means he has a long waiting list and I have a booking next Sunday with him. Can I reasonably expect my car in time or should I ask Audi to pay for the deposit on the booking?
Finally, is there anything I can do or have performed on the car to make sure their is no repaired damage? I believe I have a very keen eye but we all miss things
Thanks all

The docks situation isn't new. It took three months to get my car from factory to UK port. I asked all of the same questions. If there's damage it has to be documented, your dealer will have viability if this is the case. However this won't be the case it's just the situation which currently prevails at port. Don't forget Audi have gone all Tesco.
At the end of the day, they have put you in a loaner at no cost. You're no worse off than you would have been so there's little room for further compensation, though you could chose to cancel if your original order stated delivery by a given date.
The detailer is tricky as you've chosen to book that, the dealer is under no obligation. Have you spoken to the guy to let him know the score? May be a non-issue.

Thanks doodlebug, it's good to know that any damage will be recorded. My last X5M50d had been polished to within an inch of its life and on a black car looked awful, so had visions of another episode. Really don't want to lose my slot at the detailer which is going to be a real pain, plus Ive been swapped out from an A6 BiTdi to a basic A6 Allroad........the spoilt brat inside me still exists!!!!!!

Apparently no S or RS models available, it's not a problem but the car does smell really badly of cigarette smoke

Yes indeed it is, I'll wait for the call from customer services and then push for a swap out if it's going to be significantly longer

Thanks Graeme4130, had a call from Audi UK who are now telling me my car will be here next week. So I've decided to stick with the loaner I've got for now as it was a 48hr swap out time line. Hoping for an update on Monday, if nothing changes I'll insist I get an rs car

My brothers RS6 has also been sat at Hull docks for over 3 weeks now. Apparently
A batch of cars have had their airbag/ steering wheels stolen.... Unfortunately
One being my brothers. Audi through Eurocar have given him a 64 plate RS6 to
Use as no definitive date for his to be sorted.
It may be yours is one of these cars...
