How long from build week to delivery

Hi all, I have already been in the welcome area and introduced myself. But it seems only right to introduce my self again in this part of the forum as the C7 is going to be my weapon of choice when it arrives.

So here goes I'm Kieran and my sin will be a Sepang Blue MY2015 beasty!

So my question is as titled really, I know from reading the forum that there has been some truly monstrous wait times for some current owners. But from my current week 16 build, what is the rough time I will have to wait before I have my car??

It will depend on your spec, but if you haven't gone for ceramics or exclusive colour it can be around 4 weeks from build to delivery at your dealers. Mine was build week 3 and arrived at the dealers on 20th February. However, as you have probably read it can be longer, just ask doodlebug

I got my RS5 within 3 weeks of ordering I suppose it depends wot spec really

Have you had any more updates on the situation with your car doodlebug. mines still at the port and its starting to turn into a bit of a farce.

spoke to the dealer beginning of the week and they said that there is a backlog at the port but are expecting a couple of deliveries back end of this week early next and it should be on one of them. They also said that they had asked for my car to be delivered to them as a priority. I'm not holding any expectations with that as I'm sure every other person who has been on to them regarding delivery has been told the same.

Yes.....will be at dealer this afternoon.

Audi UK have been involved in moving it on, primarily because of the exorbitant delay from build to delivery.

There are issues at port, and it seems there's only so much control over this because of the other third parties that are involved.

Finally a bit of good news for you. Hope to see some pictures soon then. I would expect Audi UK to bend over backwards to get your car delivered after the farce you have had to endure.

I agree though there is only so much control they have regarding the issues at the port. I'll see how the situation is by mid week next week and take it from there. It gives me a bit of confidence though hearing that you're nearing the end of your on going saga.

I bet its a relief. I've only been waiting a fraction of the time that you have and its a pain in the arse. After your first drive out in it though all the waiting will just be a distant memory.

The day I pick mine up (whenever that is) I'm going to head over for a drive round the Evo triangle. its only about a half our 45 minute drive from my house with plenty of good roads on the lead up to it. That thought is keeping me going during the wait. plus all of the pictures of everyone's new cars.
