£6000 option, but watch out for those bird droppings....
Looks Blimmin good though, although I admit it'd be impossible to have on a day to day cardoodlebug wrote:Yep. Can't be washed or corrected as with normal paint. It's pretty hopeless as a real world finish.

Not for me...cars are suppose to be shiny end of.
That's 'coz you cannae wash the fucken thing!DragonRR wrote:My understanding is that, whilst expensive to repair, matt is actually better for not showing up swirls and minor scratches and the bird crap situation is no better or worse than a gloss car.
Indeed.bam_bam wrote:That's 'coz you cannae wash the fucken thing!DragonRR wrote:My understanding is that, whilst expensive to repair, matt is actually better for not showing up swirls and minor scratches and the bird crap situation is no better or worse than a gloss car.
Removing albatross <beep> from sandpaper with a bit of shampoo and some leftover sheep... yeah, that sounds like it'd be effective.DragonRR wrote:Course you can wash it, most people suggest using certain types or shampoo rather than the usual shampoos and BMW recommend sheepskin wash mitts. Like I said.. I like the look of it but I don't feel it's worth the trouble and I would imagine that bird crap left to fester will cause a much bigger problem than it would on a gloss car.. and of course you can't polish it off as you suggest.

I had no idea I was arguing with experts in heavy duty bird <beep> and the latest Audi matt paint which rips skin off at the merest touch!
