Had this since Monday whilst my C6 is in for some repairs (under Audi goodwill). They gave me this as they have had my car for two weeks (parts on backorder), and the Q3 I had last week had to go back on Monday morning for someone to see as they were interested in buying it. Not asked for the C7 back yet, so enjoying it and will be very sorry to see it go tbh!

Echo most of the comments in here already. The C7 is incrementally better in every aspect to the C6. Not sure of the exact spec of this, but it has the 21" wheels, Air suspension, Advanced Key, Audi Sense/ACC....

Will do a more thorough write-up when I finally (reluctantly) hand the keys back. Tbh, I'm impressed I've had it so long! I was quite clear I wasn't in the market to buy one, but was interested as I knew they were offering extended drives to existing RS6 owners. It has definitely worked. I am very much in the market now. Unfortunately though, we are buying a house next year, otherwise I'd be putting a deposit down when I go back. Sadly I'll have to wait 18 months or so until we are in the new place, but at least then there might be a couple of 2 year olds floating around on AUC with a bit of a discount. Speaking of which, I've seen these discounted down to a base price of about £66k so far, which makes them quite a bit more appealing. With a handful of "must-have" options, I can spec one up to around £75k all in.

Ahhhh, will be hard to get back into the C6 when it's fixed. I think I will need to get to MRC to cheer myself up.

Can I ask you where have you seen these prices?

I'm not financing the car but I'm struggling to get more than the 3.9k contribution from dealers...

And there are no physical cars available to buy other than the demo or a white and a red car!

Get on the phone to Broadspeed. They have negotiated a big discount with one of the dealer groups it seems. I did get an email from them literally this evening, saying their arranged discount was due to change, so not sure how much longer it will be at that price. I just wish I was in the market to buy.

What are your thoughts on the Air?

Has to be 10k discount to make it work IMO. Less than that and the bumming will be enormous.

Maxige you'd get a bigger contribution if you PCP'd I suspect. You can always walk out the door and pay off in full.....

Very nice. It's a far more comfortable ride (in Comfort) than the C6 by a long shot. Lots of people have commented on how smooth the ride is. When you switch to Dynamic, it does firm up, but not uncomfortably so, but when you start to really push it in the corners, there is noticeably more body roll than on my DRC C6. With the air you also get the option to raise and lower the suspension (not sure if I'd find a lot of use for this myself though, as the clearance is more than enough in "lower" mode).

I would say for a lot of people the air would be a good option. Its certainly more comfortable, and if your primary use for the RS6 is as a daily drive and motorway muncher. If you're even thinking of a trackday though, or are someone who does push the car on the backroads (when its quiet) then I can imagine DRC is a better option. I haven't obviously driven the DRC equipped version, but Chris Harris' loved it in his review (although he did say Comfort was the only mode worth using and that Dynamic was too stiff, even for track!).

Not sure if some of the discounts are only available to finance customers. However, I do know people who have financed a new order, got the contribution, and then paid off the finance in the first 14 days (i believe - as you do not have to pay any fees that way). Audi never chased them for the contribution back either!

These were orders on lower-range models mind you, so smaller contribution amounts! Might be worth a thought though Even if you paid a few hundred in settlement fees etc, it could easily be offset if there is a few £k in contribution added.

I went online and spec'd the options that I wanted and it was well over the 100 mark. For that sort of money, I'll much rather have something else TBO.

Thing is, if you're paying the premium to have new might as well have the car you want. I don't see the point in compromising.

Agree on spec.

B & O. Its a must. 6k I know but well worth it over bose.

And again like spoke about, ceramics are a must, when I drove a C7 the brakes where not great.

I just don't get the ceramic fascination. I gave the C7 some stick this week and did some hauls down from speed and they never even felt like they were giving up. It's also telling that I haven't seen a press car or demonstrator with them fitted. I've heard reports from a couple of sources recently, that they have a habit of going up in smoke when used aggressively.

But each to their own, and I agree you might as well get exactly what you want if paying a premium for factory fresh. I'm just not convinced by those that say these cars are pointless/useless/unsuitable etc without them...

I'd also have to hear what a B&O system was like to be convinced it was 6k's worth!

With you all the way on ceramics Sixspeed, my limited experience extends only to a Porker, but the one I drove needed a lot of heat to really perform, when they did they were astonishing, but I don't think that converts well to road use, however I'm interested to hear the views of people who drive with them everyday.

I have a test booked in for the RS6, don't know the spec yet but following on from RS4 ownership a few years ago I would rather avoid DRC, I had no end of trouble and Audi's attitude has kept me away for the last 5 years. Will happily report my views FWIW.

Porker a good deal less tubby.....

DRC is not a problem. It was well proven on C6 RS6 and seems ok on B8 RS4. Air might be OK for you of course.
