I paid a deposit of £ 1,000 in January to express my interest in the C7 RS6.

An email from the dealership on Monday informed me that Tuesday April 16 was the first day that official orders can be taken.

Hope you enjoy it more than the C6. You going to keep the C5?
What colour are you going for?

Have they, i.e. Audi UK got the spec and option list sorted yet?

Given that they are no longer limited run cars I'm less arsed about handing money over to get a slot. Infact I'd rather not have an early car!

There is NO advantage having an early car, in fact the opposite.

I.e RS 4 B8, for MY14 cars you get HDD nav as STANDARD! So the early orders (535d boy) paid extra for it

Completely agree DK. That and any early gremlins are dealt with at the factory as opposed to a hit and hope trip to the dealer for rectification.

I only ordered early because I normally change cars every 2-3 years and x5 was coming up to 5 year old and there was absolute nothing else I wanted to waste money on while I waited for the RS hence I got my name in quick, the only reason

With the porker I just jumped the Q anyway

Had no problems with either.

Not so keen to rush for the new exige though with all the problems lotus have!!!

So dilemma is the Dynamic Pack

Raises top speed to 174 mph, includes dynamic steering and sports suspension for £2K with the LED lights in for free.

But UK Press unanimous in damming the dynamic steering and sports suspension. They say standard air suspension better for UK roads but none of them have been allowed such a car to try. The worry is too soft?

The dynamic steering is marmite. You either like it or you don't.

The brochure is now available to view on the Audi website. Priced one up with the use of a calculator and was pretty stingy with the options, came to £85K. I reckon you could easily get over £100K without too much effort

wowsers! Matt paint is £6k - is that the usual price for something like that?

surely you'd be better off getting normal paint and a decent wrap every couple of years.
