Yes, that is correct. The reason is that a new car almost always loses the most in its first year, in my case around the whole deposit gets eaten up. So changing a car after 6 months is borderline insane :bash:
I understand the reason, it's just I thought the new car was going to cost you an extra 10k when in fact it is going tk cost you an extra 20k. This makes the deal not as great as I originally thought. I'm not sure if its a bad deal but its certainly not a no-brainer as we originally thought. And it makes a lot more sense now as it seemed the dealer was making a stupidly good offer.

As above. I think most of us thought you were being offered the trade up for £10k which is indeed a no brainer, for £20k it's still not a bad deal but certainly not small potatoes so marginal if it's worth the outlay.

I think a test drive might be needed to see if there is a clear reason to spend another 20k.

Indeed. £20k is just an OK deal.

Actually you were right (2 different people) - my cost of exchange is 10k, only that the PE would arrive a little later than first thought which I suppose works in my favour.

Just trying to get my head around ordering black gloss PE rims instead of the twin spokes !

Thanks again for all your replies

Back to my original response then, it appears to be a 'bit their hand off' deal.

So no deposit of 10k, just increased payments of 300 per month equaling 10k over 3 years? As above, I'd take it.

It would be fantastic if you could! I have been looking for some decent real world photos of the Glass Black PE wheels and can't find one anyhwere!

Like you I think the regular 21's are nicer

I also can't get past thinking that the new rims are the most important distinguishing feature of the PE and more or less have to be taken.

Trying to persuade myself that the 21 twin spokes are now more common - filtering down as 20's to the s6 s7 and bi-turbo a6's and 7's as well.

I like the new rs7 21's !

Maybe the the rs6's will have to grow on me !

Not just 20s on the big cars; I've seen them on A1s and A3s.

I was looking at after market 21s but got offered the graphite OEM for a very decent price. The 21s are slightly wider and fill the arches more.

They are both exact same outside diameter

Sorry but the fronts are much nicer and rarer, not seen them on any car other than the rs6.

I had thought that when I specked the car. 6 months on I fancied a change. Few aftermarket ones I was looking at but got these for a steal and I love the colour TBH. 20's are in the garage, was gonna sell them but think I'll hold onto them for a bit just incase I change my mind!
