Sounds nice I think - but it's loud in full chat!
Not regretting that I bought Miltek, it's a monster:) by the way E14STO I think it was you saying that Miltek catback itself gives 26 hp

I had to call off the remap due to my excursion with the pothole. Got the car back on Friday, was fed-up waiting on Hatfield Audi to do the tracking, Tetbury will need to do it.

I am pretty gutted to have missed the remap but pleased to have the car back with me...

Do we have any firm numbers for the HP on a stage 1 MRC?

My akrapovic is getting installed on Saturday followed by a stage 1 MRC, curious to know what numbers to expect.

Cheers.

Don't have figures because not put on a Dyno. I would rate the tune 7/10. It's quicker, sharper but it gets confused sometimes when driving, like a bit of jerking and not smooth driving unless you are driving it perfectly. Hard to explain but it would never happen on a stick car regardless of how much you play with it.

Major problem I have is that the revs kinda lag. So every now and then if I rev the car the revs will almost hold then come down very slowly. I reported it and supposedly they are aware of this problem and are looking for a fix.

Hi, I'm more than a little surprised that your car has been tuned, but not put back on the dyno afterwards to check what its power and torque curves now look like - partly so you know how to get the best out of it and what its performance characteristics now are!

Yeah, I agree, it would be the logical thing to do but I haven't had time to be honest. Will do it when I'm back in Dubai in a few weeks.

BTW, the car is currently with Audi for a service and a weird vibration feeling at the rear. They just called me and told me that the propshaft needs replacing.. This happened within 7 days of the tune going in..

I can only assume that this is due to the extra power/strain from the tune.

Be careful, it can workout very expensive for a few extra HP...

This sounds expensive....

Assume there is no chance of warranty either now due to the map?

Did you not consider getting MRC to put the ECU back to how it was pre mapping?

I heard they have a way of removing the map and any associated flags, although I'd be interested to find out if anybody has actually tried that with any success or not.

You can't remove the evidence of the goosed gearbox. If you're mapping you have to suck up the pain. Not really cricket claiming on a warranty when you've knowingly caused the failure.
